This is Redwood Burl on Mahogany. All redwood burls are harvested from root burls. Permits are required.
Box is lined with wine rayon flocking to compliment the darker walnut.
4.0" x 2 1/4" x 1 1/2" ( exterior dimensions )
3.5" x 13/8" x 3/4 " depth ( interior dimensions )
Brass hinges.
As usual, undercoats are polyurethane with seal and finish coats being tung oil. Many coats are required to produce this finish on our boxes.

What a lovely little box! I needed something this size to hold a very special coin, and this was perfect: the combination of redwood burl and walnut is striking, the small size was exactly right, and I was amazed at the speed of delivery.
