Handmade wooden treasure box of walnut with spalted elm by BurlWoodBox.

Exterior dimensions are approx. 6" x 3.5" x 1.6"

Interior dimension are approx. 5.25" x 2.35" x 1.1"

This small wood box is perfect for keepsakes as well as a special gift presentation box. It can also be used on your desk oras a small jewelry box.

Spalting is a process. To be more specific....it is a step in the process of decay of the wood. The fungi have attacked this maple and then left these lovely patterns. The process has been halted as the wood is totally dry. The fungi have died.

This box is lined with brown colored flocking.

Finished with hand-rubbed tung oil with a bit of polyurethane mixed into the undercoats for better sealing properties.

Box has felt feet and is signed as well as the woods identified on the bottom so when you forget what wood it is ...you can instantly "remember".

We can personalize this box for you with a laser engraving for an additional charge of $10.00. We suggest the inner lid for engraving.
