The box is engraved before the finish is applied so that the box is totally sealed,hence the odd light reflections in the Golden. Your eyes do not see this :)
Box is lined with wine rayon flocking to compliment the lighter cherry.
Brass hinges.
As usual, undercoats are polyurethane with seal and finish coats being tung oil. Many coats are required to produce this finish on our boxes.
